Print Your Own 3D Scanner Kit (for IntriCAD Triangle software)

21 Oct 2013 UPDATE: Shorter extension tracks now in use. Previously, they stood at 130mm long, but have been trimmed down to 120mm length to fit snugly with UP Mini. Been working diligently on this project for a few weeks now, striving to craft an easily assembled desktop 3D scanning kit that pairs perfectly with IntriCAD Triangle software... The goal was to create a casing that not only houses the turntable and accompanying circuit boards, but also provides a sturdy base featuring slots for extension tracks. Initially, a large base board measuring 600mm x 600m was required to secure everything in place at the precise angle and distance, but it took up too much space on the desk, rendering it impractical. Now with this kit, I can effortlessly slide the laser and camera back and forth along the extension tracks to adjust the distance or up and down their own bases to achieve the right height. They also sit at a 30 or 45 degree angle from the laser. A piece of curved locator has been added to the end to hold the extension tracks in place, as the longer they get, the more challenging it is to have the camera fixed at the correct angle. Still refining Dual Camera mode... Unfortunately, I couldn't find many online tutorials that explain how to make the cameras work together, but I'm still producing good scans.
