An updated version was released on October 21, 2013 with shorter extension tracks measuring at 120mm in length to accommodate UP Mini. The creator has been working for weeks to build a compact desktop 3D scanning kit compatible with IntriCAD Triangle software. It features a casing that houses the turntable and circuit boards while also providing a base with slots for extension tracks. Initially, a large base board of 600mm x 600mm was required but it occupied too much desk space, making it impractical. With this kit, the laser and camera can be adjusted by sliding along the extension tracks to control distance and height, while sitting at an angle of either 30 or 45 degrees from the laser. A curved locator piece has been added to keep the extending tracks in place. The dual-camera mode is still being perfected. Although there are limited tutorials online for operating two cameras simultaneously, good scans have already been achieved. The kit's design and assembling process is based on IntriCAD Triangle scanning requirements and includes 1 laser, 1 small turntable, and 1 or 2 HD webcams.
