This Toucan Virtual Museum model (http://www.toucan.co.jp/3DCG/3ds/FishModelsE.html) provides a printable fish design. To prepare, use Netfabb Studio for scaling and repairing before printing in two halves on a PrintrbotJr with PLA. Assemble with Zap-a-Gap, but beware of tail gaps and incorrect fin printing. For better results, consider these ideas: print with support, split into components, increase fin thickness, print fins separately, remodel fins or use other materials for them. Share photos and stl files on designmaketeach.com blog; winning prints will be featured. Netfabb also offers a printable version with tutorial (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:97145). Models will be used in a summer STEM camp to study fish adaptations.
