Print surface bed clip
thingiverse
You know when you buy a print surface, only to discover it's significantly smaller than advertised? Or they don't come in the exact size your printer requires? I created this as a workaround solution. Print four of these in PET or ABS and fit them around the edge so your bed clips have something to latch onto securely. Note that the material you print with needs to have a higher softening point than the heated bed temperature. For instance, if you're printing PLA at temperatures below 60C on the heated bed, PLA is suitable, but if you want to print on a hotter bed, PET or ABS are necessary. Even ABS starts to soften at 80C, so you'll need to find a different material for this scenario. I designed this item 4mm high and 5x5cm in size, making it possible to fit a 220mm square bed onto a 203mm square plate. The border dimension is 16mm. If you need to accommodate a larger plate, simply scale up the design. I plan to add a small shim to a later iteration to press down the bed corners securely. I designed this specifically for use with a 203mm square fleks3D simple surface on a CR10 mini, so I'm eager to hear about dimensions for other scenarios.
