Print Pad

Depending on the weather and humidity, I've noticed that parts sometimes stick to my plastic (Lexan) print bed and sometimes they'll come loose in the middle of printing. To achieve maximum adhesion when printing with PLA, I sand my print bed regularly. However, even with a well-maintained print surface, I still encounter issues where the part detaches from the bed while printing. To overcome this problem, I created a simple part that can be easily added to any design via my slicer software. This 'Print Pad' is designed to provide additional support and stability during printing. To use it, simply place the Print Pad under the part you want to print. Once the Print Pad has been printed and you confirm that the actual part is starting to print, apply painters tape to hold it in place until the job is complete. The Print Pad is thin enough that it will break off from the printed part with minimal effort, leaving a smooth finish that requires little to no sanding or trimming. In most cases, I don't even need to remove the Print Pad after printing. Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao Duplicator 5s Rafts: No Supports: No
