Sarrus linkages offer parallel end plates that travel along a straight line, enabling linear motion sans linear guides. The linkage model can be printed almost fully assembled and support-free, even customizable via Customizer for varying lengths and sides. A video demonstration is available at vimeo.com/72531195. For assembly, set the desired parameters, print, then loosen hinges by bending. The last hinge snaps into place with patience and pressure. Hinge spacing determines clearance between fingers, while hinge length controls arm retraction clearance.
