<p>EDIT: VERSION 2, much faster and easier to print, with a "live" hinge instead of a pin hinge. It also sits higher, folds lower and is wider. Printed in PLA.</p> <p>I might edit it to make it a bit stiffer since it bends after some use, though it does not affect the functionality.</p> <p>EDIT V2.1: as predicted, the part was too thin and deformed over the course of one month. The model and photos have been updated with the thickened model.</p> <p>Original text:</p> <p>A disadvantage of the Yoga laptops is that they sit very low on the surface, sometimes impeding the cooling.</p> <p>I wanted a riser that:</p> <ul> <li>can be folded and still allows the laptop to be converted to a tablet</li> <li>is stable and does not easily fold back flat</li> <li>has a wide base, not just two points of contact</li> <li>does not block any ports or require any long-term modifications.</li> </ul> <p>The "hinge" is fixed with double-side tape on a Lenovo Yoga C940.</p> <p>I reduced the angle on mine with a bit of hot-glue inside the hinge contact point, so that the laptop sits slightly higher.
