<p>This Print-in-Place model of a Land Rover Defender 2.5D is the very first Print-in-Place vehicle with working suspension! The wheels spin too!</p><p>The only thing you have to do after printing is to snip a few tiny pillars that prevent the axle casings from fusing with the wheel axles during printing (noted in red in one of the pictures) and you are all set!</p><p>If you wish to scale it down, I wouldn't go below 60% since then the supporting bits are thinner than the nozzle can print.</p><p>Despite the limitations of designing a vehicle with interior and working suspension and wheel mechanisms, I was able to preserve all the differentiating and iconic features of the vehicle. Thus, rendering this model one of the closest-to-reality I ever designed. Some parts are quite tricky, e.x. the seats with 75° overhangs, but if your printer is tuned well enough, that shouldn't be a problem.
