Print in place Iris Orb-box
thingiverse
This is a compact, self-contained iris box with no supports necessary. I originally shared this design on MyMiniFactory back in early 2018, and I've now relocated it here as well. You can find many other iris boxes I've designed on my thingiverse design page: https://www.thingiverse.com/BrienAllison/designs. Other designs of mine are available on my MyMiniFactory page: https://www.myminifactory.com/users/Brien%20Allison. This design is similar to well-known iris box designs by Emmett and Lobo CNC, featuring a print-in-place spherical shape with four petals. However, it differs in that it prints upside down, with the base facing upwards. The opening of this orb-box design is wider and covers almost an entire hemisphere. Printing this design can be quite challenging, possibly more so than other designs. To help you tackle this challenge, I've included a test file called 'Orb-box test', which includes all the print-in-place features that make it difficult to print. If you can successfully print the test file and free up the three parts, you should be able to print this box design with ease.
With this file you will be able to print Print in place Iris Orb-box with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Print in place Iris Orb-box.
