Print-in-Place Garbage Truck Module

This model is one of many Print-in-Place add-ons for my Modular Truck project. Print-in-Place means that all parts are printed in one go with no assembly required. All add-ons click onto the truck seen in the pictures. With this rear-loaded garbage truck module, cleaning up will become a piece of cake. The lifting mechanism in the back is compatible with 3 types of garbage bins, which can all be seen in the pictures above and are included in the download. The hopper of the truck features a compacting screw, which pushes the collected waste towards the front of the vehicle. The whole hopper as well as the back assembly are hinged, allowing for easy emptying of the hopper, similar to a regular dump truck. Due to the complexity of the model, parts of the lifting mechanism are connected in several places with thin, one layer thick lines of plastic to prevent delamination during printing. These are noted in red in one of the pictures above and can be easily removed with side cutters.
