Print in place folding dice tower
thingiverse
A versatile dice tower that folds flat and prints in place, likely utilizing a large 3D printer. I utilized a TAZ 3 to print the entire part at once, but it might be too massive for other printers. I have included two files with the part split into two sections: folding_dice_tower.stl: The complete part (161.53 mm x 247.20 mm x 5.10 mm) folding_dice_tower_1.stl: Back side (161.53 mm x 125.70 mm x 5.10 mm) folding_dice_tower_2.stl: Front side (140.00 mm x 125.70 mm x 5.10 mm) folding_dice_fence.stl: Half a print in place fence, print two and assemble. This project relies on a library I developed to generate hinges in place: hinge.scad. Feel free to utilize it for any other purpose. In OpenScad, it generates numerous elements rapidly so you may need to navigate to Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Turn off rendering at: something like 3000000. It puts your GPU under strain, but it worked for me. I have stored the latest version on GitHub: * https://github.com/regelatwork/flat-dice-tower * https://github.com/regelatwork/in-place-hinge
