Print In Place Fold-able Phone Stand
thingiverse
I stumbled upon an awesome foldable phone/tablet stand, but its licensing terms were non-derivative and required hardware usage, so I opted to create my own. I did remix the original design that inspired me, but unfortunately, I'm unable to share it on Thingiverse due to the chosen license restrictions. The printing process is currently underway while this post is being published. The design was crafted in Tinkercad, and I've made my version public, allowing anyone who wants to remix or improve it to do so freely, as long as they adhere to the licensing terms (non-commercial, share-alike). You can access the design here: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/hLlcKG35DMR-foldable-phone-stand I've since updated the design to version 2, incorporating a clip into the standing bracket and tweaking the joint so that the inner piece is now one solid unit. The latest update brings the design to version 3, with the bracket reversed and the knobby catches refined for a more squared-off appearance. **Final Update on 5/13** I've released version 4, which replaces the axle hinges with ball hinges. I've also swapped out the clip for the stand drop and added additional catches for the bracket. Furthermore, I've redesigned the bracket to effectively catch the catches. To top it off, I've included variant brackets and back supports featuring Punisher and Batman logos. **Final Final Update on 5/14** The back supports with the Punisher and Batman logos had a critical flaw - there was no space between the logo and the bracket, causing them to fuse together during print-in-place. To rectify this issue, I've added a .25 mm gap between them, ensuring that this problem won't recur.
