Print in Place Expanding Circular Linkage
cults3d
Expanding circular linkage, that can be 3d print in place as an assembly without any supports. It is similar to a Hoberman sphere, but in 2 dimensions. There are other similar expanding circular linkages out there which may have better expanding capabilities, but this model is designed to emphasize that such design can be made as "print in place without supports". The links are designed so that it can rotate, but will not fall apart. This model is designed to fit inside a 140mm x 140mm print bed. The files (STL only) are also available on Thingiverse found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4112141 Please download from Cults if you would also like to have access to F3D or STEP files (or to simply support my work!). If you choose to make derivatives and share them online, please do so on Thingiverse as a Remix with the same license (Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-Commercial - Share Alike), and upload only the STL files. Demo video is available on Youtube!https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gLEJO7mUbT8 If you would like to leave a tip, please check out my Ko-fi page!
