Print-in-Place Driveshaft for RC Truck
thingiverse
It should be compatible with any 1/10th scale truck but was designed for an RC Prerunner here on Thingiverse using the Ossum Rear Axle MkIII: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-ossum-rear-axle-mk-iii-65939There are currently 2 variants with different size input shafts, 35mm and 60mm (35mm should be compatible with the Prerunner). This is a work in progress, my printer doesn't have the greatest tolerances and the joints were pretty tight to break free but your success may vary. A little lube on the joints would probably go a long way.Lay the driveshaft horizontally on your build plate. Next, rotate the driveshaft 45 degrees so that no interior support is needed on the female side of the input shaft and just a skinny line of support under the male input shaft. Print with supports only touching the build plate.I will post the Fusion 360 files so they can have the length and joints changed to your specific needs. Apologies in advance for the messy CAD, I'm still very new.If the driveshaft is too long you could always just cut it down afterwards if printed at 100% infill
