Print-in-place articulated figure: Zippityboombot!
thingiverse
Presenting Zippityboombot!, an articulated print-in-place robot figure that requires zero assembly. This amazing robot boasts 13 working joints, all of which are ready to roll right off the build plate: 8 hinge joints, 2 ball & socket joints, and 3 axles. Simply remove it from the plate and wipe away any brim residue. In motion, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOVHAzVpq0g Printing Zippityboombot is a breeze, as shown in this tutorial: https://youtu.be/uH8uHMg9Ly0 Once you loosen up the joints, they move freely. For a pose that holds steady, try inserting a small ball of museum wax into each joint. Feel free to get creative and remix Zippityboombot however you like - just be sure to give credit where credit is due! Share your finished robot with us by posting a picture! We'd love to see what you've made. **Print Settings:** * Printer Brand: Wanhao * Printer Model: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.2mm * Infill: 20% **Notes:** A brim is highly recommended, as the entire torso and head attach to the bed via the bottom of the pelvis. You can scale Zippityboombot up as big as your printer allows, but scaling it down may cause the joints to fuse together.
