modified print files for the minimal Design 1 version of the Print+ DIY headphone kit.

The original Print+ design seems to be designed for PETG, so I reduced the angle of the frame arms to reduce caliper pressure when using stiffer materials, like PLA. Also extended the spring mechanisms in the speaker housings to work better with PLA.

Overall fit and finish improved:

Detents in frame made shallower. This makes the earcup adjustment much smoother and keeps the earcups from moving. Also eliminates visual blemishes that show up on the outside of the arms.

Rails in the speaker housings extended. Captures the frame arms before engaging the detent mechanism, and makes the earcup adjustment smoother.

Margins between speaker housings and frame reduced. Eliminates gaps and keeps the headphones from rattling when you pick them up.

Slightly reduced the length of the frame arms. At one of the earcup adjustment positions the tips of the frame arms now line up with the bottom of the earcups.

Fusion 360 and STEP files included if you want to make further tweaks or include these changes in your decorative earcups designs.

Print instructions

Print+ recommended settings should work fine for these modified files.
