If you want to put an Ultimaker 2 print head on an Ultimaker original you will need a way of mounting the thermistor board onto the head. That's what these two parts are for. The round washers create a mounting for the board. Put one beneath the second extruder hole and another above. Put an M3 bolt through both of them and then into the mounting plate. Then you can just bolt the thermistor PCB onto the mounting plate. Works for me.
