Print-Friendly Tacticool Scraper Knife/Letter Opener
thingiverse
I found a useful little plastic knife that I use for scraping or prying off things, opening weak letters, and playing around with. It's also good for scratching. I tried annealing it and sharpening it down to 3000 grit at its edge angle but it will never reach a level of sharpness, rigidity, and durability to cut regular copy paper with PLA. This knife won't work as a self-defense tool nor is it safe to train with. It's just a novelty tool for light tasks. The blade is lightly friction fitted into the hilt. I suggest sanding/sharpening it a bit to make it work better for opening letters. It can be rather pointy but has a rather weak tip. You can always print multiple blades for when one wears out or breaks. Dimensions: Full hilt length - 103 mm Hand grip - ~83 mm long grip, 30 mm wide, ~12 mm thick Blade - 112 mm long, ~31 mm wide, ~4 mm thick The hilt can be scaled vertically to fit your grip. The blade can be scaled lengthwise to adjust length.
