Print Bed Level Test Anet Prusa

Print Bed Level Test Anet Prusa

This test verifies consistency in distance between the nozzle and print bed at each adjustable corner to guarantee high-quality, level prints. To conserve filament, run this test regularly to re-level your print bed. For optimal results, halt printing after the first layer and inspect homogeneity. A level bed will produce uniform texture even if the nozzle is positioned too closely or too far away. Raise corners that appear "patchy" one-quarter turn at a time, then repeat the test until you're satisfied. It's generally better to raise lower corners than lower higher corners, assuming you've already modified the z-endstop with a fine tuner. Designed for a 220x220 mm build plate, but the object itself measures 200x200x20 mm (perimeter) to leave clearance for leveling screws. This test helped me determine that my A8's aluminum heat bed was warped from the factory, so I cut a piece of glass to clamp over top. I perform this test every week and as needed.
