In my first raster cutting experience for digital fabrication class, I designed a wooden block with my name, a tiara, and corner patterns using Inventor software. Subsequently, I sent the sketch to Epilog Engraver, which printed it onto the wood. Accurate measurements are crucial in this project, especially when working in illustrator or other design programs. It's advisable to manually focus the laser instead of relying on auto-focusing, particularly with wooden blocks. For this specific project, a power setting of 100 and a speed of 60 were used, making it an enjoyable and easy task!
