PrinceMas Ornament with Lighted Base by RebelTaz Ok... technically, the lighted base is all that is by me. The original ornament belongs to @DirtyFacedKid and can be found here (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4680336). I extended the ornament down so that it could be slipped into a base and modeled the base you see here. It is designed to accept these USB LED chips from Amazon. Feed the wire of a 5vdc power supply through the hole, wire it to the chip and cement it down. I made a little trough so that the chip could be oriented either way - with the LEDs closer to the ornament or farther away, whichever you find gives a better result. The fit of the ornament in the slot is a little loose so that you can remove the ornament and hang it on your tree when not using the base. After I got finished, I had the idea that I should have printed it in purple, so I printed another one in Purple Haze translucent PLA. By itself, that looks amazing, but when combined with the extremely bright light from the LED chip, I actually liked the white better. My mother, a complete Prince freak, is going to love this. All thanks for this goes to @DirtyFacedKid. ✞ Merry CHRISTmas ✞
