This adapter facilitates mounting reading glass lenses in front of Primesense Carmine v1.09 sensors for enhanced detail resolution. It utilizes cheap +2.5 diopter plastic reading glasses and employs square-cut lenses, eliminating the need for a hole saw. The design is fully parametric, simplifying the build process. Print in PLA or ABS at 0.2mm layer height with support, orienting the lens openings upward. Secure the lenses with plastic cement applied to each corner of the cutouts. To acquire the necessary lenses, purchase a 3-pack of +2.5 diopter glasses for approximately $15 and use a scroll saw to cut them into 2cm squares. Utilize included 2cm square templates printed on a standard 4" x 2" label sheet to guide your cuts and protect the lenses. Out of various cutting tools, a scroll saw proved most effective in accurately sizing the lenses without damaging them.
