Prime Pad and Nozzle Cleaner I recently upgraded my Prusa I3 3D printer with a Prime pad bar and nozzle cleaning system. Since I don't own an original Prusa I3, I couldn't modify its firmware to adjust the print bed size. Fortunately, my clone is equipped with an Arduino Mega256 and Ramps 1.4 board running Marlin firmware - this allows me to change the print bed size and activate the Clean Nozzle feature. Materials Needed: Cut two strips from a heavy-duty Scotch-Brite scour pad, each measuring 15mm wide. Installation Instructions: Mount the prime pad bar underneath the heated bed. Insert the scour pad, ensuring it protrudes 2-3mm above the heated surface. Additional Benefit: This Prime Pad system doubles as a print bed handle, making printing more convenient.
