Prime Monolith Set

Prime Monolith Set

thingiverse

This is my debut contribution featuring a 2001-style prime monolith trio. The monoliths are labeled '2001' due to their dimensions, 1:4:9, which correspond to the squares of the initial three positive integers, like in 2001: A Space Odyssey. These prime monoliths measure 5mm, 7mm, and 11mm in depth respectively, with a total count of three, also prime. I devised them without 3D printing or design software, strictly employing mathematical principles. However, I'm uncertain about the correctness of my STL file creation, especially regarding x-, y-, and z-axes orientation. If you print these, please comment to confirm, otherwise mention if it needs fixing. Enjoy! The monoliths are designed for a 3D printer with a base capacity of 100mm by 100mm, although they're not large individually due to their trio arrangement. Kindly use black material, resembling the monoliths in the movie. Update: Now there are four files available - one for simultaneous printing of the entire set (file name includes 'set'), and three separate files for individual monolith printing.
