Prime Link: 7_2_3
thingiverse
This text demonstrates a prime link 7_2_3 model, displayed in both thin and thick tubes versions. The thin version reduces tube size to enhance crossing visibility while the thick one appears at full scale, needing less support material. For more details on this knot, visit its Knot Atlas page (http://katlas.math.toronto.edu/wiki/L7a4). The model is generated by RidgeRunner software, a freely available program that minimizes knot length while maintaining a tube around it. Note that different function minimization could result in distinct knot shapes. To view the prime link tightening process, check out the movie at http://www.jasoncantarella.com/movs. RidgeRunner software can be downloaded from http://www.jasoncantarella.com/wordpress/software/ridgerunner/.
