Priktol (Throwable Spinner)
prusaprinters
This is another trip back to my youth. As boy we liked to play wit a “priktol” (dutch for throwable spinner). You wind the cord tightly around the spinner as shown in the pictures. You can make a loop in the end of the cord to place this over the end at the top. bring the cord down to the tip and wind it around the spinner tightly.Hold the end of the cord between your fingers, hold the spinner between thumb and index finger. Throw it on the floor while holding the cord. When done right (you need to practice a bit) it will spin. The link to the video below will show you how to throw. Also there were many “games” how you could compete against your colleges.Who's spinner would spin the longest.Who could throw in a small square or circle, where the spinner should not move outside the square when spinning.Displace with a careful throw the spinner of your colleague. etc.Printing is straightforward. Print both halves. Put a small piece of filament in the hole (maybe you have to ream it a bit with a 1.8 mm drill) and glue both parts together. For the tip use any approx M3 screw or bolt. For a bolt you likely need to cut the thread in the spinner. Any reasonable size of cord will do.Be careful when you throw it. Use it only outside with enough free space. I do not accept any liability for any damages!!!! Have fun, when you make it please share it.
