Pretorian Helmet 3D Scan

Pretorian Helmet 3D Scan

cults3d

This is a small 3D scanned Pretorian Helmet by the Artec team, done with an Artec Spider 3D scanner. A small Roman helmet, measuring 3 by 2 cm, was captured with precision using the Artec Spider 3d scanner. I scaled up the model, oriented it correctly and smoothed out some areas of the mesh using a smooth brush in MeshMixer. To save a color model, I used my Artec Studio to export it and uploaded it here as a zip file. Unfortunately, I was unable to achieve color output in other software like MeshMixer, but this OBJ should now work properly. The original color scan can be viewed in 3D by visiting: https://viewshape.com/shapes/nk2ivyxv0uo Edit 2016-05-19: By popular request, I added a version without the "brush" so that a real fiber one can be added.
