Presta valve extender
thingiverse
I designed a simple valve extender for Presta valves, adding 25mm to the existing one, making it long enough for most pumps to fit on it. Using this as an extension under deep-section rims isn't recommended; it's ideal for quick tire inflations when the exposed valve length is insufficient. My prototypes worked fine, but some leakage occurred during testing - I wouldn't rely on it when the valve is completely hidden inside deep-section rims. If you're feeling bold and still need a longer one, I've included the Fusion 360 F3D file for modifications. This extender performs best with printers featuring a 0.4mm print head. For optimal results on threads, use a 0.100mm (100 micron) print height. **Update:** Don't underestimate my warning about deep-section rims - it's crucial not to use this extension in such situations. I learned the hard way after attaching it to a short valve and attempting to inflate with a floor pump; it broke off. Thankfully, enough of the valve remained exposed to allow for some air to be added. If it breaks inside a deep-section rim, you'll likely be out of luck.
