The enclosure houses a compact assembled printed circuit measuring 25.6mm x 8mm x 17mm, including connector. The pressure sensor is a piezo resistive element with minimal size, low power consumption, and temperature influence; it detects pressures from 0 to 37kPa (with an optional range of -50 to 50kPa). It is connected to an integrated analog sensor signal conditioner that provides amplification, calibration, and temperature compensation for enhanced performance. The device features a digitally controlled, fully-analog signal path with integrated 16-bit DACs for digital trimming, eliminating the need for external components. It also offers overvoltage (up to 45V) and reverse-voltage protection (up to 45V), sensor fault detection, and a ratiometric output proportional to power supply voltage. The signal conditioner functions as a digital in-and out serial interface using one-wire asynchronous serial data communication with the host calibration test system. Powered by a 5V, +/-4mA supply, it utilizes surface-mount components that are placed automatically on panelized printed circuit boards for easier production and testing. The panels have alignment holes for use in a test jig to perform digital trimming, calibration, and testing of the analog output devices.
