Press Pass - Keyset

Press Pass - Keyset

I wanted a custom keyset for my mechanical keyboard that echoed the classic look of old school typewriters. Designing my own allowed me to change and customize it as I pleased, which was essential since I'm a fan of Cherry MX switches. Each key consists of two distinct parts: the main piece and an insert. With a single filament machine at my disposal, I needed a way to produce multiple colors, so this design was born out of necessity. I didn't break down the key inserts into rows or groups, which means the attached STL file is likely too large for most beds but can be easily divided into smaller pieces. I'm also working on designing larger keys and a space bar that fit seamlessly with this layout. Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice Maker Select III Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Notes: To achieve the best results, I recommend printing the keys with the stem facing downwards. Since I printed mine in PLA, if you're using ABS, you may need to scale up the design accordingly.
