Press mold for 2.5 micro-jack plug cover
thingiverse
This mold is designed for molding 2.5 micro-jack plug connectors with precision. To achieve the best results, I use a hot glue gun and apply a thin layer of hot glue to create this connector. With a nozzle diameter of 0.5 mm and a layer thickness of 0.1 mm, I've achieved high-quality results. To improve quality even further, consider using a layer thickness of 0.05 mm. Before pouring the hot glue, lubricate the mold with motor oil or Vaseline to ensure smooth removal. Here's how to use these molds: 1. First, print the mold at a layer thickness of 0.05-0.1 mm and a nozzle diameter of 0.5-0.4 mm. 2. Solder the connector according to your gadget's power scheme. 3. Lubricate the mold with petroleum jelly or clean engine oil. 4. Insert the soldered connector into one part of the mold, then cover it with the second part. 5. Secure the mold with a rubber band or tie it with thread to prevent it from opening. 6. Preheat your glue gun to the correct temperature. 7. Use the glue gun to extrude hot glue into the molds. 8. Allow the glue to cool for 20-30 minutes. 9. Disassemble the form and remove the connector, wiping off any excess Vaseline or oil with dishwashing detergent. 10. Your custom-made connector is now ready for use. You can even fill this mold with a liquid rubber hardener for added durability. If you enjoy my projects, please subscribe to me!
