Presentation box to hold and display a custom turned bottle stopper
thingiverse
The enclosure comes with a versatile ball and socket style hinge and a secure latch that effectively seals the lid closed. To minimize any unwanted movement caused by 3D printing, the surface features a textured design that helps conceal Z-wobble artifacts. This compact box is made up of four separate components: the insert effortlessly clicks into place within the base; the lid easily snaps into position with the matching hinge joint on the base; and the end cap can be securely fastened to the top of the lid using a thick, strong adhesive like Super Glue or Krazy Glue. This design builds upon the previous model featured on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:608890 . The enclosure is designed specifically to accommodate various bottle stopper components available from Woodturners Catalog, including the Artisan Stainless-Steel Droplet Bottle Stopper (http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/p/52/5012/), the Artisan Stainless-Steel Cone Bottle Stopper (http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/p/52/5011/), and the Artisan Stainless-Steel Bullet Bottle Stopper (http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/p/52/5013/). For anyone looking to replicate this design or create similar enclosures, I have included the OpenSCAD source files.
