Want to amaze your buddies with an unconventional yet captivating spinner? Top-of-the-line spinners are already here! There are two models available: 1. With Bearing 2. One-Piece-Print / No Bearings Required! You can decorate the spinner with metallic paint. Or you can really print it out of metal if you have the chance. Additionally, you can create one single piece entirely out of plastic without needing a bearing. I've also prepared three versions of the bearing handles: 1. With Bearing All tolerances are precise, and ball bearings must be press fit in with a vice or equivalent device. If plastic breaks, increase stl model by 1-2 percent and print again. Standard 608ZZ Shielded 8x22x7 Miniature Ball Bearings used in this model. The center bearing can be switched for a 608ZZ/C Ceramic Ball Bearing to increase spin time. Print Settings: Resolution: 0.15mm 2. One-Piece-Print / No Bearings Required! The design features bearings embedded inside. With a well-sliced file printed on an accurate machine, the bearing should be free or take little effort to break free straight off the build plate. As soon as the bearing has been freed, add a small amount of lubricant to the moving surfaces (refer images), and you're ready for a good spin! Is it as great as a spinner with metal bearings? Probably not, but they should still spin well and are definitely fun to fidget with! TIP: After freeing the bearings, spray some silicone or light lubricant into the grooves between the main body and bearing on both sides of the spinner. Silicone is an excellent lubricant, making 3D printed surfaces move smoothly against each other. WARNING: To achieve great results printing this design, you'll need a good slicing app and accurate machine due to the fine clearances applied. Although the clearances used should work with most apps and machines, others might find it challenging and fuse the parts together. Fused parts can be freed, but the alternative is to uniformly scale the design up by 5% to increase internal clearances. This print requires a precise app and machine to achieve the necessary clearance between moving parts for smooth spinning. Applying lubricant is essential to getting a great spin and being able to spin it with one hand (Metal bearings require lubrication too, so this just needs the same).
