Premier League Trophy

Premier League Trophy

When I decided to enter a fantasy football competition with some colleagues, I thought it would be awesome if we had a trophy for the winner to keep for a year. So, I found an image of the Premier League trophy and used CATIA to create a 3D model by tracing its profile. The model is in three parts: the base, the trophy, and the crown, so each part can be printed separately in different colors. I tried to find high-quality images of the lions that adorn the handles of the trophy, but unfortunately, most pictures have the lions' feet obscured by ribbons. I'll keep searching for better images to model them accurately and may upload them later. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer Model: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .1mm Infill: 30% To print the trophy body, I turned it upside down and used supports for the horizontal bars in the handles. For the crown, I only used support material on the underside. The base required support material in the recessed area only. I also increased the infill to 80% for the base part to make it heavier. Assembly Instructions: To attach the base, I applied a generous amount of hot glue, which added extra weight and stability. The crown clips onto the trophy with minimal force. That's it! Designing the Trophy Here is a picture showing the support used to print the crown.
