Prehistoric Prayer Rock
thingiverse
In front of the Pettigrew Home & Museum in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, lies a 3-ton prehistoric prayer rock that was transported from near Mobridge, SD, a relic shrouded in mystery that predates all known Native American tribes living in the Dakotas. R.F. Pettigrew, the state's first senator for new state of South Dakota, channeled his passion for history and archaeology into an intimate museum nestled within his refined Queen Anne style home, transforming his legacy with every artifact on display. This monumental prayer rock weighed heavy with anticipation when it was moved at Pettigrew's request to his humble abode and museum in 1925, now a centerpiece showcasing ancient symbols, waiting to be unraveled.
