The prehistoric field boundary stands out distinctly, its remains exposed by fierce storms that ravaged the area in 1990. A tight line of stones forms a straight edge on the east, unmistakably marking the boundary as faced, much like the hedge banks found in Scilly and Cornwall. Some of these faced boundaries have been scientifically dated to the Bronze Age, providing valuable insights into the lives of our ancient ancestors.
