This ancient awl originates from the Escoural Cave, nestled within Portugal's region of Montemor-o-Novo. The bone tool was likely employed to puncture animal hides. Discovered in a Neolithic necropolis archaeological site, this relic offers valuable insights into prehistoric craftsmanship. It is now part of the Museum of São Domingos' extensive collection in Montemor-o-Novo.
