A pierced ceramic disc spindle whorl is carefully crafted by drilling a black-topped redware vessel sherd. Originating from the Naqada Region, Upper Egypt, this unique artifact most likely dates back to the Naqada I-II period. The teaching collections of the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse proudly house this remarkable find. Utilizing 236 photographs captured with a Canon EOS Rebel T7i camera, software from Metashape 1.7.0 is employed to create a detailed digital representation of the pierced ceramic disc spindle whorl.
