Precision Calibration - CHIA
thingiverse
First publication! Precision torture test for BOTH printer AND slicers. Print with slowest speed and 50% infill AND AGAIN at 5/10% infill X carriage features 10mm cubes stepping down 5mm Y axis features 0.5mm stepdowns upwards Downward Y is 0.2mm stepdown and a 0.5mm inset. WHAT TO LOOK FOR: MASSIVELY IMPORTANT that if you're on ABS you allow your model to COOL before measurement Trim model CAREFULLY, undercut if you need to in order to preserve the face Look for edges being "square" and not rounded off, scalloped or distorted. Differences between 5/10% and 50% infill will give insight as to how the material cools and "contracts" Always observe perpendicular to the surface being measured with your calipers - observe dips or sags. TAKE 3 PANADOL/ACETOMENOFEN and call me in the morning! Welcome to the headache of reprap! This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://tinkercad.com/things/2QEw0QcZdPb Instructions Print out on an i3 Testing for slicers and accuracy Print at minimum infill and 50% infill and compare to observe internal stresses.
