Preassembled Spherical Geneva Drive
thingiverse
The Replicator 2x showcases its capability to print a Preassembled Spherical Geneva Drive with two short perpendicular turning shafts from one ABS extruder, without dissolvable filament. The horizontal shaft is securely captured by the main body. To create this intricate design, use Replicator2x settings: support materials and rafts enabled, 0.20mm layer quality at 0.90 mm/s extrude rate, with two shells, 20% fill, default speeds, and heat. Post-print, remove supporting material by cutting a few parts and pulling out the general excess. If necessary, break any remaining hidden supports on the horizontal shaft using an even force applied by two hands, as seen in the reference picture. The displayed file is GDprtevol1, while GDprtevol2 offers increased clearance (0.559mm) to address build issues mentioned in mgg942's comments.
