Pre-dreadnought coast guard battleship Fulminant (1877) 1/700
thingiverse
Fulminant is a Tonnerre class coastal defense ironclad built for the french Navy, launched in 1877. This curious design was inspired by US monitors and British coastal defense ships. Her career was mostly uneventful. I designed this model for 1/700 scale, never tried to printing it yet. As usual with my models, I do not represent the railings or the top of the masts, as I would rather use photo-etched parts and brass rods to make them. I also do not include some of the smallest details for the same reason. Generic lifeboats can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5211979
