Volume Cone and Cylinder
Great interactive tool to help students visualize that a cone of the same diameter and height of a cylinder has a volume equivalent to 1/3 of the cylinders volume thus proving the formula for a cone. The cone can be filled with rice or sand and used to fill the cylinder and students should realize that it takes 3 cones to fill the cylinder implying that the cone has 1/3 the volume of the cylinder.
