Create a preassembled pull-chain toy soldier or opt for a pull string version in this cool contest entry. The mechanical interactions print as one, with eleven joints and six-segment chain. Just attach the back plate and hook to complete it. A video of it in action can be found here. Joints are loose at 1mm spacing, while bridges are narrow and easy for most printers. Designs shared on Tinkercad for modification. Next, a Santa version will be uploaded. To print successfully, ensure all joints move freely, straighten the chain, attach back plate and hook, and use Acrylic paint to enhance details. A light mist of Aqua Net Extra Super Hold keeps pieces from coming off without a raft, which can be easily removed with a wood chisel.
