Sculpture of a praying boy made by Luigi Pampaloni, born in Florence in 1791 and passing away in 1847, was an Italian sculptor known for his Neoclassical style work. He studied under Lorenzo Bartolini's guidance. In 1826, with Ottavio Giovannozzi's collaboration, he completed the design of Empoli's Fountain of the Naiads. In 1834, he finished a bust of Maria Antonietta of Bourbon, sister of Ferdinand II of Naples and second wife of Leopold II, Grand Duke of Tuscany. A statue of her husband, Leopold II, was sculpted by Pampaloni for San Miniato's piazza. He also created statues of Brunelleschi and Arnolfo di Cambio for Florence's Duomo, as well as a Leonardo da Vinci statue for the Uffizi Gallery.
