The Firefly MK3 Note that the photos are of the Firefly MK2. How to Print, Assemble, and Use Instructions Are Below. This Design Is 100% Printable. My Printer Is a Creality Ender 3. The Knife Has Five Parts, Each Handle Unique and Simple to Print. You Won't Need to Mirror or Clone Anything. It Should Be Pretty Self-Explanatory, But Be Aware That the Pins Are Tight. I Designed It This Way. Pop Them In with a Hammer. Just Tap, Don't Smash. Make Sure Your Alignment Is Spot On. Firstly, No Support Material Is Needed. I Recommend 50% Infill or More However. Yes, That's a Lot, But Hear Me Out. The Knife Needs to Be Light, But Plastic Is Far Too Light. So Anything Less Than 50% Infill Will Get You Less Than an Ounce. I've Tried Different Settings Using a 15% Infill Knife, and They Don't Work. 50% Is the Lightest You Can Go for Realism. I Would Recommend 100% Infill. My Guess for a Weight There (Since I Haven't Tried That Much Yet) Would Be About 1.5 Ounces. Which Is Still Far Too Light. This Knife Is Designed to Provide Realistic Play for Tricks You're Already Familiar With, Without Endangering Your Trainer Blade. Don't Worry If It Breaks - Just Print Another One. This Thing Is Essentially Canon Fodder. For the Pins, I Would Recommend 15% Infill. There Are Five Pins Because You Should Always Have an Extra. Special Thanks to Thing:2850822 for Their Amazing Pins. Suffice It to Say That This Knife Uses a Modified Version of Their Design. I Love Them - My Entire Knife Was Centered Around Making Sure Their Pins Fit Perfectly. So Thank You, for Having the Only Good Pins on Thingiverse. I Used FreeCAD to Make the Parts.
