PQ Torus Knots

# Thing This thing contains some torus knots and the Blender script that generates it. See the embedded README text in the Blender file for more information. While there are existing tools and mesh primitives that can easily create PQ torus knots, the script was created from scratch to allow customization of the knot formula. (For example, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4966245 ) The script is based on a tutorial from the demoscener BlackPawn. https://blackpawn.com/texts/pqtorus/default.html A gallery of different parameters can be found here: http://katlas.math.toronto.edu/wiki/36_Torus_Knots The order of parameters [in the link above] for PQ is swapped when comparing it to the BlackPawn article. I'm not a mathematician, and I barely understand what's going on, so I can't explain why—just a humble dude making scripts to generate meshed geometry. # Printing A few knots are provided. The ones with the filename pattern T(\*,\*) are untested and are simple outputs to the script. Edit: Thingiverse strips out the parenthesis in the filenames. For these, it is recommended to: - Scale them by x20 - Add custom column supports instead of the standard (aligned rectilinear) supports and print with a brim to anchor the supports to the bed.
