PPK Prop
thingiverse
PPK Prop I recently took an old model that was split into two halves and gave it a fresh makeover. First, I reduced the file sizes in Meshmixer to make them more manageable. Next, I reassembled the two halves into a single model. To get the proportions just right, I re-scaled the entire model to match its actual size. I then carefully removed excess material behind the trigger and gave it a subtle tweak. Moving on, I hollowed out the barrel to accommodate .32 caliber rounds. The hammer path was also precision-cut for smooth operation. A notch was added to the rear sight for improved accuracy. While this is not a perfect replica due to some issues with the slide's rear section, it's definitely closer than before. To minimize distortions during printing, I added a support post to lift the model 5mm off the build plate.
