A Simple Solution: Upcycle an Old T-Shirt into a Protective Mask. Print three identical parts and their mirrored versions. Cut a shirt strip that can fold over multiple times and fits across your face with some extra inches on either side. Insert this strip through the center of the spool, then wrap it around the spool so it stays in place. Attach the base ring to the bottom, slide the assembly into the spool holder, and secure it. Remove the neck elastic from the shirt, cut it to length using a square knot, and pass one end through a hook. Hold the mask against your face, attach the other hook to the loop, and adjust the straps for maximum comfort and facial coverage. The design can be refined to minimize filament usage by adding holes to the spool holder or modifying the spool to eliminate support requirements. However, this is not a priority at present. Therefore, I have included the relevant SolidWorks files, allowing you to make adjustments as needed.
