PPE eyeshield visor headband
thingiverse
This design originated from an online source that I revised. The framework features four pegs to hold an acetate sheet securely in place. Some available designs have irregular spacing between the pegs; 65 mm is used for the front two, but 80 mm separates the front and rear pegs. In the UK, a standard office punch produces four holes spaced evenly at 80 mm apart. To maintain uniformity, I adjusted the design to space the front pegs 80 mm apart and relocated the side pegs accordingly. Additionally, I toned down the pronounced curve on the end of the side components. If acetate sheets are not readily available, an A4 transparent sheet or a clear laminate pouch will serve as suitable alternatives. The curved shape of the headband keeps the sheet properly aligned; therefore, there is no need for an additional lower curved piece often included in other designs. This design has been implemented effectively at my hospital. Feel free to replicate and disseminate it as needed.
