PP700W Stock Prototype
thingiverse
A few folks have inquired about my stock. It's made from plywood, but I decided to give designing a 3D printable stock a shot. This prototype includes a small test piece; I recommend printing it first to ensure the bolt is aligned properly. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has access to a CNC machine and can work with wood, the finished product should resemble the American Walnut texture visible in the picture. Edit: A solid stock has been added as requested. June 21st, 2018: I've modified the design to create two separate pieces, allowing for stocks of different lengths to accommodate various pull distances. Two 8mm holes are included on each piece; you can epoxy 2 steel rods into place. August 29th, 2018: After messing up my PP700W wooden stock, I decided to print out my custom stock instead. Being rather self-critical, I made some adjustments. The butt of the stock was lengthened slightly downwards, and the section between the grip and the rest of the stock was thickened. This added section enhances ergonomics. If you're interested in creating a custom butt pad, you can use 25mm thick neoprene foam; it's easy to cut to any length and leaves a smooth finish when sanded.
